Exactely a year ago a horrible accident happened to my freeskiing friend Jon Örarbäck. On the 30th of January 2010 we went snowboarding together and after spending the whole day off-piste, Jon fell badly just riding down the slope back to the car. He broke his second cervical vertebra. After a couple of fearful days we realized how lucky he was not suffering from any paralysis or even worse. Anyway, time was not easy for him after this injury. Yesterday we went together touring to the backcountry to celebrate his second birthday! I feel really happy to see him back on his skies enjoying the powder.
